2025 Female Hockey Day

RED DEER - Registration is now open for Hockey Alberta’s Female Hockey Day on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at the Big Marble Go Centre in Medicine Hat, AB.

The day will feature on and off-ice sessions for current and aspiring players - all to celebrate female hockey.

Try Hockey - Youth

There will be a Try Hockey session offered for youth females who are looking to try hockey for the first time.

Should you require gear, we suggest borrowing from a friend or family member as you can try it on in advance, if you’re unable to borrow some, please contact [email protected]. 

Goal Scoring

This session will be held for players, both forwards and defense, to learn how to apply their offensive skills and how to create more scoring opportunities within their game play. The session is open for players aged U13 to U18. Goaltenders are also welcomed to register as this would be a great opportunity to get a lot of shots.

Defensive Skills

This session is aimed at improving defensive skills, tactics and fundamentals for players of all positions! Coaches will use specific drills and tools to support defensive training. Open to ages U13 to U18.
