Existing AFHL Franchise Request for Expansion

An Elite Host MHA can apply to Hockey Alberta for expansion or contraction of the number of teams they operate. Applications must be submitted by December 1 to be considered for the following season.

Existing AFHL Host Associations are only required to submit the following information:

  • Application Form (below)
  • Application Letter which must include Divisions, rationale, and information on how expansion will help your existing Programming
  • Updated Governance Model, Athletic Delivery Model and Amended Budgets
