The Coaches Site is a community of like-minded coaches that are focused on sharing innovative tools and resources to build better programs, practice plans, and team dynamics.
Hockey Alberta has partnered with The Coaches Site to connect Members with the abundance of coach resources the organization has to offer and provide Hockey Alberta Members access to The Coaches Site for a reduced fee. Each month Hockey Alberta will feature (below) new resources from top coaches in the game.
Long Term Athlete Development

You can find short and long-term practice plans along with all the essentials for anyone looking to advance their hockey knowledge, all designed by Canada’s best coaches. This App is iOS and Android compatible and can be used on both smartphones and tablets making it easily accessible everywhere. The content of the App has been designed to help develop every coach and player by covering the hockey fundamentals for all ages. On or off the ice every coach, player, and parent everywhere now has the tools to succeed in the palm of their hand.

Hockey Canada Drill Hub
Hockey Canada Drill Hub is a growing library of drill videos, diagrams, and descriptions that have been categorized by skill, age group, and other helpful criteria. This free mobile friendly website gives coaches and players the ability to view drills, build practice plans and share the information with others team members or coaches.

U16 Gold Standard Portal
The Under 16 Gold Standard Website Portal was created to help develop emerging high performance athletes, coaches, and support staff. The portal is easily accessible, understandable, and practical. Information found on the site can be incorporated into yearly training plans to help the development of all high performance athletes. Approval from Hockey Canada must be granted before anyone gains access to the portal. Please follow the steps below to gain access to the Under 16 Gold Standard Portal.
- Click into the registrations site.
- Register (fill in all required information including your HCR Number).
- Confirmation email with username and password will be sent within three business days.
- Login to the portal with the provided username and password.
