HOCKEY ALBERTA’S SUMMER DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION CAMPS SET TO BEGIN IN CAMROSE

Hockey Alberta’s summer provincial development and evaluation camps are set to begin this week in Camrose and run throughout the month of July. All camps will take place at the Edgeworth Centre in Camrose, Alberta.

Team Alberta U18 Female Summer Provincial Camp – July 10-15, 2012 – Schedule and Rosters

The top 46 U18 female hockey players will take part in a variety of games and practices throughout the week. From Provincial Camp, athletes will be short-listed and scouted with their club team until Hockey Alberta names the final Team Alberta roster that will compete at the National Women’s U18 Championship November 7-11, 2012 in Dawson Creek, B.C.

 

Team Alberta U16 Male Summer Provincial Camp – July 16-22, 2012 – Schedule and Rosters

The U16 Male Program is the second stage of the development and identification process that feeds Team Alberta and Team Pacific. The Summer Provincial Camp features the top 80 athletes identified by Hockey Alberta competing in games and practices throughout the week. From Provincial Camp, players will be short listed and scouted with their club teams until Team Alberta names its 20 player roster that will compete at the Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup set for early November.

 

Officiating Development Camp – July 17-22, 2012 – Schedule and Officials

The Officiating Development Camp runs in conjunction with Team Alberta’s U16 Male Summer Provincial Camp. Officials referee the provincial camp games and are evaluated and critiqued on their performance. This is third stage of officiating development, the first being the Alberta Cup Zone Camp, and the second being the Alberta Cup competition.

 

Team Alberta U16 Female Summer Provincial Camp – July 23-26, 2012 – Schedule and Rosters

Provincial Camp is the second stage of the Team Alberta Female Program and acts as a development and identification opportunity that feeds into the U18 Female program. The top 60 players will compete in practice and game environments.

 

Sledge Hockey Development Camp – July 23-26, 2012 - Schedule
The 2012 Sledge Hockey Alberta Summer Development Camp is the only one of its kind in Alberta and Western Canada, targeted towards players born 1999 or older and all coaches interested in Sledge Hockey. The purpose of the program is to develop athletes and coaches through on-ice and off-ice skills and education sessions.
